Our directors have over 100 years of experience in the trust industry.

In 2024, Ludlow Trust also acquired the UK trust business of C. Hoare & Co.

Ali Sarikhani

Chairman
Ali Sarikhani
A chartered accountant who trained in practice with what is now Ernst & Young, Ali was made a Partner in 1976 at the age of 29 and went on to set up his own practice in London in 1980. This practice is now known as Vistra Trust and Ali managed this business for its first 25 years. Ali has also founded several businesses including Chiltern Group plc, Kinetic Partners LLP and the ZEDRA Group. Ali is the Chairman of Hambleden Capital which is a family office established to manage the Sarikhani family business activities.

Matthew Wickers

A law graduate and chartered accountant, Matthew was COO of the Intertrust group and a main Board member of Vistra after being with the business for over 20 years. Matthew has also worked with Ali in the development and growth of a number of major companies in the financial services sector including the Chiltern Group, where he was CEO and Kinetic Partners LLP.

Chris Thurlow

Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, Chris was Head of Trusts & Estate Planning at Coutts & Co, focussing on advice to clients in respect of a range of family and charitable trusts. Chris previously headed the Private Client department at a Surrey based law firm and is a non-practising solicitor as well as a Chartered Tax Advisor and member of STEP.

Walter Coxon

Walter Coxon
Former Managing Director and Head of Barclays’ global trust business, Walter has extensive experience in trust and fiduciary management. Prior to being the Head of Trusts, Walter was head of strategy for Barclays Wealth and also the COO for Wealth Advisory. In his last role at Barclays he was the COO of Barclays Investment Solutions Ltd, the investment subsidiary of Barclays UK.

Gary Collins

A qualified and proven CFO/FD, Gary most recently spent 2 years as the MD of ZEDRA Trust Company UK following the acquisition by the Sarikhani family from Barclays in 2017. As the business head, leading 95 colleagues, Gary orchestrated the replacement of Barclays matrix style operating model to create a self-sufficient standalone SME. This was the most profitable Group entity and delivered 110% of EBITDA plan. Prior to this he was the head of this business for 13 years when it was owned by Barclays.

Ziba Sarikhani

Ziba Sarikhani
As a graduate Ziba joined Vestra Wealth where she worked in the Research Team, and then moved into in wealth and asset management M&A at Pakenham Partners. Since 2016, Ziba joined the Sarikhani Family Office where she helped set up the family office and is responsible for a number of portfolio investments. She has an MBA from London Business School.

John Dennis

As a graduate John joined Accenture as a strategy consultant in the Financial Services practice and subsequently moved to Barclays to join the Corporate Development team, where he spent over 13 years as a principal corporate financier, leading the coverage for the wealth management division before becoming Global Head of Barclays Corporate Development in late 2018. John is now Managing Partner at Hambleden Capital, the Sarikhani family office.

David Breach

David Breach
Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, David was a Trust Manager at Coutts & Co where he spent over 20 years, focussing on providing advice and managing ongoing relationships of a range of family and charitable trusts. David has been a member of STEP since 2005.

Monica Brown

Monica Brown
Monica’s previous role was with CAF as Head of Charity Advisory & Programmes leading on advisory, grant making and legacy work for the charity. She was also previously the Chief Executive of Dress for Success Greater London and the National Head of England for BBC Children in Need.

Connor Bunney

Connor Bunney
Prior to joining Ludlow, Connor began his career in trusts at Smith & Williamson (now Evelyn Partners) in the City of London over 13 years ago, before joining Haysmacintyre and then Rawlinson & Hunter Trust Company in the Cayman Islands. Connor has great experience in both on and offshore trust structure administration, he is a full member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and STEP England & Wales.

Yana Davies

Yana Davies
Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, Yana was a Trust Manager at Coutts & Co, managing a range of family and charitable trusts. Yana qualified as a solicitor, working with law firms in London and Surrey advising on trusts, wills, powers of attorney and IHT planning. She is now a non-practising solicitor and a member of STEP.

Harpreet Dehal

Harpreet Dehal
Harpreet has over 20 years’ experience in managing and advising on varied portfolios of family trusts, as well as charitable trusts. Additionally, he also has experience in the administration of Estates. This includes dealing with varied inheritance tax matters as well as advising trustees and beneficiaries on all trusts and estates related matters. Harpreet has in the past worked in London for firms such as Deloitte, Kleinwort Benson, Apex Trustees, as well as C Hoare and Co. He is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

Amy Dellar

Amy Dellar
Amy joined Ludlow Trust Company in 2024 and assists clients with their family and charitable trusts as well as advising on wills and powers of attorney. Amy is a non-practising Chartered Legal Executive having previously worked in estate and trust administration in law firms for over 15 years.

Katie Forder

Katie Forder
Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, Katie was a Trust Manager at Coutts & Co for 13 years working with a variety of clients in respect of their family and charitable trusts. Previously, Katie worked in Retail Banking (NatWest Group) within the Lending and Underwriting teams and also led the Management Information team. Katie is a member of STEP.

Nick Hardy

Nick Hardy
Nick started his career with Kleinwort Benson Private Bank in their Trust Accounts department. In 2010 Nick joined Messrs. Hoare Trustees Limited, a subsidiary of C. Hoare & Co. bank to assist with establishing accountancy records for the trusts they administered. Recently Nick had been concentrating on the accounting for C. Hoare & Co’s donor advised fund, The Master Charitable Trust. In April 2024 Nick joined Ludlow Trust following the acquisition of MHTL from C. Hoare & Co.

Nikki previously worked at C. Hoare and Co in the trust and estate management team. She is a member of STEP and has spent more than 30 years administering estates and managing complex family trusts for high net worth clients. Nikki has also been involved with the administration of charities including donor advised funds and social investing.

Alex Mulroe

Alex Mulroe
Alex is a non-practising solicitor and member of STEP who assists clients with their family and charitable trusts as well as their wills and powers of attorney. Alex was previously a partner in private practice and headed a Legal 500 Private Client department at a Surrey and Berkshire based law firm.

Tejinder Kalsi

Tejinder Kalsi
Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, Tejinder was a Trust Manager in the Trust & Estates department at C. Hoare & Co. managing and administering trusts, estates and charitable trusts including Donor Advised Funds. Tejinder has worked with accountancy practices in London and at a law firm in their Trusts and Probates team. Tejinder is a member of ACCA and STEP.

Stuart Robinson

Stuart Robinson
After graduating university, Stuart joined a trust company in Guernsey and later moved to Vistra UK, working in their London Private Wealth department. In August 2021 he began his role as Trust Manager at Ludlow Trust. Stuart is a full member of STEP and an associate member of CISI.

Joanne Spiceley

Joanne Spiceley
Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, Joanne was a Trust Manager at Coutts & Co, responsible for a portfolio of family and charitable trusts. During her career Joanne has gained diplomas in Financial Planning (FPC), Accountancy (AAT), Investment Advice (IAD) and a STEP Certificate in Tax, Trusts and Estate Planning.

Yogita is a non-practising solicitor who has worked in trust and estate administration for 10 years. She was previously a Trust Manager at C. Hoare & Co, managing a range of family and charitable trusts as well as estates.

Matthew Winterbottom

Matthew Winterbottom
Matthew joined Ludlow Trust Company in December 2021 and advises clients across both family and charitable trusts as well as providing advice on wills and powers of attorney. Matthew is a non-practising solicitor having previously worked at law firms across Surrey.

Jane Arko-Tharkor

Jane Arko-Tharkor
Jane has worked in the Financial Services industry as a Compliance Professional in various capacities for over 15 years and has extensive knowledge and experience in Regulatory Compliance, Risks, AML Financial Crime and Data Protection. She holds a degree in Economics & Sociology, backed by professional qualifications and a full member of the International Compliance Association (ICA). Jane joined Ludlow in 2021 and is responsible for Risk and Compliance oversight.

Paul Clutterbuck

Paul has over 16 years’ experience working in the trust industry at NatWest Group. Paul started his career working with Charitable Trusts, then progressing on to more complex family trust arrangements, working closely with high-net-worth families and their advisory teams. Paul has used his trust and process knowledge to ensure smooth transitions for all of our clients on Ludlow’s appointment as Trustee.

Julian Doughty

Julian Doughty
Julian brings to Ludlow a wealth of experience gained over nearly 35 years completing all aspects of trust and estate administration. He started his career at Lloyds Private Banking before moving to NatWest Group where he focussed on a range of trust and estate cases supporting the NatWest, RBS and Coutts brands. He has enjoyed being able to maintain customer relationships with former bank clients.

Stephanie De Almeida

Stephanie De Almeida
Stephanie graduated in law from the University of Reading prior to working in Jersey and Singapore assisting clients with their trusts and corporate structures, managing a variety of different asset classes for ultra-high net worth families. Stephanie is STEP qualified with a STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and is currently studying towards her STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (E & W).

Caroline Knight

Prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company, Caroline led the NatWest Group team of Technical case managers, focusing on providing a client centric Trust administration service. Having previously graduated with a Business management degree into LBG, responsible for heading up and leading multi-site teams through Strategy and Change, Caroline oversees and supports the People and HR arm of our business.

James Sansum

James Sansum
James has over 30 years’ experience in administering Trusts for High Net Worth clients, supporting the NatWest, RBS and Coutts brands prior to joining Ludlow Trust Company. James brings to Ludlow his wealth of experience and knowledge, whilst maintaining existing relationships with former clients.

Simon Thorne

Simon Thorne
Simon is a fully qualified member of STEP and has 30 years plus experience working in Personal Tax and Trusts, latterly focussing on systems, interfaces and compliance, within NatWest Group. He now heads up the Trust Support Team delivering tax compliance, system solutions and interface management for the Ludlow Trust business.

Shaun Weinbren

Shaun Weinbren
Shaun started his career at John Lampier and Sons Limited in Bristol and became Finance Director. Following the acquisition of the Lampier Group by Jelf plc, his next role was as Senior Financial Controller at Seasons Holidays PLC until 2021. Shaun then moved to Ludlow Trust in early 2021.

Jeff Burgess

Jeff Burgess
Jeff has over 40 years’ experience of estates and trusts with Barclays and Zedra, including 10 years focussed on meeting clients to discuss the benefits of trusts for Inheritance Tax and family succession planning. He is also a qualified Independent Financial Planner, though no longer provides financial advice.

Debra Worthing

Debra Worthing
Debra joined Ludlow in April 2021. She has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business, having previously worked for the NatWest Group for 25 years, dealing with Trusts and Estates covering the Coutts, RBS and NatWest brands. Prior to her employment with NatWest, she worked for Barclays. She is STEP qualified.

Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan
Michael is a fully qualified member of STEP, Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and Chartered Banker Institute. He has 30 years plus experience working in Trusts, risk and controls, compliance and change implementation within NatWest Group. He is now a member of Trust Support Team delivering tax compliance, system solutions and interface management for the Ludlow Trust business.
